Autumn Pond Service

Silt removed, dead growth cut back, filter cleaned, water measured before and after. The full reset before winter.

What you get

  • Water measured before anything is touched
  • pH, KH, GH, nitrite, ammonium
  • Silt drawn from the deepest point
  • Filter media rinsed in pond water
  • UV lamp checked, hours logged
  • Measured again, logged
  • A written report with the readings and one piece of advice

What you do not get

  • A sterile pond. Suck out everything and the biology goes with it — next year you have more algae than ever. We take 60–70% of the silt, on purpose.
  • Filter media rinsed in tap water. Chlorine kills the bacterial culture that does the actual work.
  • Silt down the drain. It goes into the border, where the nutrients belong.
